In this episode, the host Roos dives into Chapter 194 of the manga "World Trigger," focusing on the intense final battle involving Tamakoma 2 squad. He praises the series as underrated and expresses his commitment to catching up on all chapters by the end of summer. The chapter centers on a critical clash in the B rank wars, where Tamakoma 2, led by Agent Kuga and Captain Mikumo, faces off against the top ranked Ninomiya squad. The team needs just two more points to qualify for an away mission, which is significant because it offers a chance to find a missing family member taken by the Neighbors.
Roos breaks down the battle tactics, highlighting how Kuga initiates the fight with a scorpion attack, countered by Ninomiya’s asteroid defense. The fight is strategic, with Mikumo launching a diversionary attack to prevent Ninomiya from going all out, as his full attack mode leaves him vulnerable. The Ninomiya squad is cautious, aware of potential snipers like Amatori lying in wait, and they avoid pursuing Mikumo directly. Roos admires the layered strategy, noting that the squad’s focus on Kuga is complicated by the threat of Amatori’s powerful energy attacks, which could decisively turn the tide.
The host also provides context about the characters, explaining that Kuga is a humanoid Neighbor whose body is made of energy, making his survival precarious during intense combat. He recalls a poignant backstory where Kuga’s father sacrificed himself to bring Kuga back to life, adding emotional weight to the battle. Roos points out that despite Kuga taking heavy damage, the team’s resolve remains strong, especially since the away mission is crucial for their personal goals. He emphasizes the importance of teamwork and the tactical use of Amatori’s abilities, which the team keeps hidden to divide the enemy’s attention.
As the battle intensifies, Roos describes how Ninomiya’s long range shots become more accurate, putting Kuga in danger of being overwhelmed. He notes that Amatori’s inability to shoot effectively could spell defeat for Tamakoma 2 unless Osamu Mikumo steps up. The episode highlights a key moment where Mikumo throws his sword and fires a shot that disrupts Ninomiya’s defense, opening an opportunity for a counterattack. Roos appreciates the dynamic action and the strategic depth shown in the fight, underscoring the tension and stakes involved.
Towards the end, Roos shifts focus to a lighter moment in the story, describing a local restaurant in Mikado City called Kageyura, which serves as a gathering spot for characters like Yuma and his friends. This detail adds a slice of life element to the narrative, showing the characters’ lives outside of battle. Roos finds this world building aspect enjoyable and encourages listeners to explore the series further to appreciate both the action and the character development. Overall, Roos’s commentary balances excitement for the battle scenes with thoughtful analysis of character motivations and strategies.
He encourages new viewers to watch the anime before reading the manga for better understanding and expresses enthusiasm for continuing the series. His perspective is clearly that "World Trigger" deserves more recognition, and he aims to bring attention to its complex storytelling and engaging characters through his podcast.

B Sex. Alright, what's going on guys? It's your boy Roos. Welcome back again to another episode on the podcast. We are carrying on from the last episode that we was on on this series, which is severely underrated in my opinion. And this is called World Trigger. So if you're new here and you know about World Trigger, well done. If you're old squad and you've been waiting for me to do this, well done. I'm grateful for all the mongolists that have been starting and I'm going to finish them and I'm going to make sure to be up to date before the end of summer. Okay, so let's get it. If you're new here, once again, I keep saying that sorry, but follow and turn on notifications. Alright, let's get into this.
Ah, look at that. Agent Kuga and Captain Mikumo have come out of hiding and may decide to attack simultaneously. So if I'm correct, these two, teammates, these three, teammates. Tamakoma 2 only needs two more points to qualify for the away mission. Will they finally join this battle in earnest? B rank number one, Ninomiya squad is ready and waiting. This is probably the final clash of round eight of the B rank wars. They're here. Tamakoma's first move is a scorpion thrown by Agent Kuga. I said Kuga, Kuga, sorry. And Captain Ninomiya counted with asteroid. Oh, he's blocking everything one of them. Oh, this one here? Whack, they're just going off. Damn, look at this.
He has to put himself in a bubble to protect himself. Ninomiya squad does not pursue the retreating Kuga. Instead, they blast away his hiding place with meteor. That also takes care of Tamakoma's wire setups. The fewer buildings and obstacles left, the harder it is for Agent Kuga to approach Ninomiya squad. Okay, he's still taking fire. He's hiding behind this wall of protection. But here comes, oh shoot, I wanted to say Okari, Osari, Osamu, I think. Straight from the back. Captain Mikumo launches his own attack from the side opposite Agent Kuga. Bro brought out a gun. This is the MP45, or P45, you know about it in Call of Duty, you know. Is he maybe aiming for Captain Ninomiya?
A diversionary move meant to prevent Captain Ninomiya's full attack mode. That full attack of his can be powerful, but it leaves him wide open defense wise. Even Captain Mikumo's firepower could deal some real damage in that situation. I see, but I don't mean to be rude, but with Ninomiya squad directing their full force at Captain Mikumo, won't he be torn apart? It might seem that way at first glance, but maybe Osamu has another goal in mind. Don't pursue. Yeah, I know. Amatori is lying in wait somewhere. Ninomiya squad isn't going after Captain Mikumo. They are wary of getting lured and sniped.
Worst case, even if they had to lose someone to take down Osamu, I could see Ninomiya squad writing it off as a pawn for a pawn. Kinda rude, oh gee. So they won't pursue Captain Mikumo, but will instead focus on Agent Kuga? Is that a sound strategy? It's not quite that simple either. Although we, the audience, know where Agent Amatori is, Ninomiya squad isn't privy to that information. While they're engaging with those two, they have to be wary of sniping and bombing attacks from all other angles. Caution, caution, attack. So the only one who can really focus on Kuga is old Ninomiya himself. On the other hand, once they pin down Amatori, Ninomiya squad will have an easy time of things.
Then they'll be able to move more freely and concentrate that much more on attacking. Thereby putting even more pressure on Mikumo and Kuga. This girl on Tamakoma's team, Tamakoma 2's team, has one of the biggest output in terms of energy wise. So if she shoots you, you're finished. You are dead. Try on energy, that's it. I call it Tryon, why do I call it Tryon energy? Like it's that movie. Anyways, I think it's Tryon energy, but it is what it is. I can't remember, it's been a while since I read. But yeah, she's got the most output. She shoots you, you're dead. And these two guys, the Tamakoma team, including her, want to go on an away mission.
So they'd have an opportunity to find her brother who had been taken by the aliens to another planet slash universe slash gateway. So that's why they're all doing this right now. In that sense, before I carry on, sorry, Kuga is also from another planet slash gateway. So, you know, he's just here as a foreigner and so on and so forth. Meaning if Nanomiya squad can survive an attack from Amatori, they'll win the advantage. When that attack comes, they don't want to be wherever Mikumo positioned them. They want the whole three man squad to be united and at full strength. That's how I see it. I have to agree. Amatricia represents a powerful card in Tamakoma's deck.
They'll avoid playing her and keep her hidden in order to divide Nanomiya squad's attention. It's a very Osamu esque strategy. Though, all of that would really only apply if Houston was still around. Okay, here it comes, the battle between these guys. Came out of the smoke screen. Dash. No way he dodged all of those. They got him. Oh my, a flash of Captain Nanomiya's full attack. Oh, also I want you guys to also remember, yeah, Kuga lost his body and his body is made up of this thing. This energy thing. So every time he's doing this, he's really putting his life on the line.
The reason why he's got this is because his father sacrificed his own life to bring him back when he had died and turned into sand or stone or whatever. It was an amazing part of the series. I think you should watch it more before you read the manga. Just watch it. You should understand a bit more. But yeah, Agent Kuga has taken major damage. Houston is in another matter, but Osamu just doesn't inspire enough fear. They were trying to keep Kuga in top shape, so for him to take all that damage at once. Tamakom has got to be hurting over this turn of events. Nanomiya's long range shots are getting more and more accurate. Kuga won't survive another full attack volley.
In the end, Hamatori really can't shoot people, huh? If not, then this match is over. Hamatori's try on. Oh, it's called try on. Try on aside, you have no tool that can bring us down. I'm sorry, I couldn't go along with your request, but Osamu will be the one to beat you. Sadly, Mikumo doesn't pose the slightest threat to us. Come on, Nanomiya. That's a ridiculous lie and you know it. Thruster on! What's that? Oh, he deflected it with his sword. Well, he threw his sword. Osamu threw his sword. And Kuga threw his, I guess, scorpion. But when Mikumo shot finally, look at that. Mikumo shot. You guys didn't notice that. And it's it. I'm the podcaster. She shot.
He was set to block, but he got hit with a weight thing. Now, he's wide open on the right hand side. Whilst he blocks and keeps shooting. Let's see this. A lead bullet, of course. Yes. Meteor. Crash. Oh, look. She made herself into a prism. That's actually really good. Chika's okay. She guarded well. Crumble, crumble. Go. Stop her, Matori. Dash. Roger. Roger. Oh, Agents Inokai and Tsuji are going after Agent Amatori. While Captain Inomia stays in place. Does he plan to face the Tamakoma duo on his own? And how will Tamakoma respond? This is what Osamu wanted. A two on one against Inomia. Chika, defend yourself with lead bullets. Do your best to put a stop to either Inokai or Tsuji.
Kuga and I will be taking down Inomia. Hmm. Mikado revealed. Oh, Kono Miyake Kageyura. What's this place? Is it like a shopping center? Oh, is it? I think it is a shopping... It's just a shop. It's not a shopping center. The pork sobayaki option adds pork and egg to the standard modanyake. One has the option of having an employee do the cooking, but regulars prefer to do it themselves. This mom and pop shop is beloved by locals. The restaurant used to be located in East Mikado, but when the forbidden zone was expanded one year ago, they moved to the current location. Old affiliates are frequent customers, perhaps because the family's second son is a border employee himself.
This is the Kage family's home and restaurant. Its parents and older brother run the place. Yuma shows up just about every week to eat with Zoe, Kage, and those guys. They're getting close to having tried everything on the menu. That's awesome. So this isn't a real life thing, maybe. I don't know. I've got to do my own searches. But obviously it's Mikado City, Ume Miyabashi. The address is 1-9, 11am to 10pm. So yeah, that's chapter 4. World Trigger. I hope you guys enjoyed it. I enjoyed this series, this chapter. One thing I need you guys to understand
